Honorable Mention: Cruises
Though the thought of how many whales are killed by ship strikes every year makes my blood boil like hot lava, I won’t stop that from listing them as one of the safest places to travel solo. With its controlled environment and security personnel, it’s by far the safest “place” you could ever take a solo trip. With resort-style amenities, you can enjoy pools, bars, sports courts, entertainment and much more on a cruise. One downside is the sheer amount of people packed into one place, you will rarely get alone time. But they also have guided meditations and yoga classes to help calm the mind.
